Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Rishabh Dhingra, trading as R EduVista, Pune, India (“R EduVista”, “we”, “us”), for Interactive Books - the site at reduvista.com and the app at ibs.reduvista.com (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. If you use the Service on behalf of a school, college, coaching centre or other institution, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it, and “you” includes that institution.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

The Service

Interactive Books lets you turn text-heavy material - documents, notes, PDFs, images and links - into books made of concept-wise sections, knowledge graphs, narrated videos and roadmaps; work on them with an AI assistant you connect - and, where enabled, an adaptive AI that learns how you study; and share them with others as frozen versions.

The Service is in beta. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn as we build; some features are available by invitation only. We will tell you about material changes in the app or by email.

Accounts and eligibility

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for everything done under your account, for keeping it secure, and for telling us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. One person, one account; do not share credentials.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account yourself. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only through your school, college, coaching centre or a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf and holds the consent Indian law requires. We may ask for proof of age and may suspend an account that does not meet this requirement.

Connecting your own AI

You may connect an AI assistant you already use - such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or any other assistant that supports such connections - to read and write your books. It acts on your instructions, under your own account with its provider. That provider’s terms govern your use of it, and any charges from it are between you and the provider.

Interactive Books does not run its own AI model and does not control what a connected assistant writes. You are responsible for the instructions you give it and for reviewing what it produces before you rely on it or share it with students. You may disconnect an assistant at any time from that provider’s settings.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload or share material you do not have the right to use, or that infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights.
  • Store or share content that is unlawful, harmful to children, harassing, hateful, deceptive or that violates another person’s privacy.
  • Access or try to access another member’s books, account or data, or probe, disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Use automated means to extract the Service’s content, structure or data, or use the Service to build a competing product.
  • Misrepresent who you are, or use the Service in a way that breaks any applicable law.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches this section.

Sharing and versions

When you share a book, a frozen version of it is delivered to the email addresses you name. Recipients see that version, not your live draft, and cannot share it onward through the Service. You can retire a shared version at any time; a copy a recipient has already accepted stays with them until they delete it.

Co-authors you add can edit the book you add them to. You are responsible for whom you share with and for the content you share; make sure you have the right to share it and that it is appropriate for the people receiving it.

Students and responsible use

Teachers and institutions who share books with students are responsible for obtaining the consent their law requires - for students under 18 in India, the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian - and for reviewing material before it reaches students.

The Service is a learning aid. It supports teaching; it does not replace a teacher’s judgement, a syllabus or an examination board.

Fees and wallet

There is no platform fee. You pay only for what you use - storage, reads, downloads, server time, PDFs and videos - at Google Cloud's rates, charged daily to the wallet in your account. Your wallet page lists every charge. Every new account starts with ₹100 free credit.

When your balance runs out, some features pause until credit is added. You can always request credit from the wallet page.

Certain features are offered by invitation only. Fees you pay to a connected AI provider are between you and that provider and are not collected by us.

Your content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the material you upload and the books you build from it. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, display and transmit that content only as needed to run the Service for you and for the people you share with, and only for as long as it is in the Service. We do not use your private material to train AI models or for advertising. A book you publish for everyone is public, and we may show or feature it as part of the Service.

The Service itself - its software, design, templates and brand - belongs to R EduVista or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it, and no other rights.

If you believe content in the Service infringes your rights, write to us with the details and we will act on valid notices.

AI content and accuracy

Sections, graphs, videos, roadmaps and answers produced with a connected AI may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. They are provided to help you learn and teach, not as professional, legal, medical or financial advice. Always check important facts against your source material before relying on them.

Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, particularly during beta. We may suspend the Service for maintenance and will try to give notice. Support is provided by email on a reasonable-efforts basis.

Back up anything you cannot afford to lose: you can export a book from the app at any time.

Your responsibility for what you upload

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless R EduVista from claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from material you upload or share, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your breach of law - including a claim that your material infringes someone’s rights or that you shared it without the consent you needed.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, R EduVista is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or, if you paid nothing, to ₹1,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including any rights you have under Indian consumer-protection law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app or by writing to us. We may suspend or end your access for a breach of these Terms, unlawful use, a risk to other members or the Service, or if we discontinue the Service, giving notice where practical.

On termination your access ends and we delete your account data and material as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive - ownership, indemnity, limitation of liability, governing law - continue to apply.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to any consumer-protection rights that apply where you live. Before going to court, write to us; most issues can be resolved by talking.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or the law changes. The current version is always posted here with its “last updated” date. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
